Mail

To receive measured values via email, the allowed sender addresses must first be configured. To do this, click on Add Cloud Adapter in the tree and switch to the Mail tab. Add one or more email addresses under Allowed senders. The character * serves as a wildcard (e.g., *@mycompany.com).

Processing Email Data

As soon as an email from an allowed sender address is received, a new Cloud Adapter appears in the tree. If the measured values are not sent in UTC time format, the time zone must be configured in the Cloud Adapter settings.

Email Structure

For each received email, only the first file attachment of type CSV or XLSX is processed. All other attachments are ignored. It is therefore recommended to send only one attachment per email. The filename of the attachment is not relevant. Only the subject of the email is relevant for assignment. For example, an email with the subject Machine1 can be sent from the sender address logger@mycompany.com to transmit the measured values of Machine 1. With the same sender address, another email with the subject Machine2 could be sent, whose data is available separately in the same Connector.

SPF Verification

For security reasons, not only the sender address is verified, but also the SPF records of the sender domain. If an SPF record is configured in the sender domain, the email must be sent from an authorized server in order to be processed by AnyViz.
