Pulse Timer
The Pulse Timer (TP) switches its output on for a fixed duration as soon as a boolean tag switches on. The output then switches off again automatically, regardless of how long the source remains on.
Function parameters
| Source | Boolean tag that triggers the pulse timer (e.g. a push button). |
| Switch off after | Duration for which the output remains on. |
How it works
When the source changes from false to true, the output switches on immediately and switches off again automatically once the Switch off after time has elapsed.
Only the moment of switching on counts: A short pulse is sufficient, and a source that stays on does not extend the time either.
If the source switches on again while the output is still active, this is ignored. The time is therefore not restarted.
Difference to the off delay
With the off delay (TOF), the time only starts when the source switches off. The output therefore remains active for as long as the source is on, plus the configured time. With the pulse timer, on the other hand, the on-time is always the same, no matter how long the source remains on.
