Operating Hours Counter

The Operating Hours Counter (OPH) counts the time during which a boolean tag is on. It is typically used for motors, pumps or plants to monitor maintenance intervals or evaluate running times.

Function parameters

Source Boolean tag whose on-time is counted (e.g. the running signal of a pump).

How it works

As long as the source is on, the operating hours counter counts up the time. When it is off, the counter value stays where it is. The counter value is output in hours.

While the source is offline, no time is counted. If the data of the offline period is transmitted later, the counter value is recalculated.

Set or reset the counter

The counter value can be set or reset at any time, e.g. after maintenance has been carried out. Use the Tag Display Vizual with input enabled for this purpose.
